Rustic Charm at Schwarz Barn Wedding Venue
We are a privately owned and operated venue and we ready to host unforgettable celebrations with couples and their families. We hosted our first wedding in 2014 and have loved getting to know all our amazing couples through the years. We are nestled away on 53 acres of beauty with a stunning 5 acre lake directly behind the barn. From elegant ceremony spaces to an exquisite reception area, we offer a picturesque setting for couples to say "I do" and begin their journey to happily ever after. Your special day deserves nothing but the best, and we are here to make sure it exceeds all expectations.

The Loft
Getting married in the loft of Schwarz Barn in Highland, IL, offers a unique blend of rustic charm and modern elegance. The loft features exposed wooden beams original to the barn which was built in 1934, beautiful chandeliers made from old hay forks, and a spacious, open area that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere for your special day. The loft provides a picturesque backdrop for your ceremony allowing you and your guests to enjoy the historic charm. The loft has 200 white folding chairs that really pop against the old exposed wood.
Outside
Getting married outside at Schwarz Barn in Highland, IL, immerses you in the natural beauty and serene lakeside views. The expansive grounds offer a picturesque setting with the custom built dock and unique arbor providing a stunning backdrop for your ceremony. The outdoor space has ample room for guests to enjoy the scenic surroundings. Besides having an outside ceremony space, we also offer an outdoor area to gather with plenty of space for photo ops and seating to enjoy the peaceful scenery.
